The Environmental Integration Initiative

Acknowledgments
The following acknowledgments are extracted from the hard copy cleaner production manual.
t.gif (725 bytes)he Cleaner Production Manual is a product of the Environmental Integration Initiative and its organizational sponsors and partners, including the Massachusetts Manufacturing Partnership, a manufacturing service of the Corporation for Business, Work, and Learning, the Massachusetts Toxics Use Reduction Institute, the Massachusetts Office of Technical Assistance, and the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection. The initiative is funded by the National Institute of Standards and Technology.

The Manual is also the result of the efforts of many individuals. The following people served on the Environmental Integration Initiative's Information Advisory Committee: Jerry Rubin of the Greater Boston Manufacturing Partnership; Fran Eagle of the Merrimack Valley Manufacturing Partnership; Cynthia Barakatt of the Massachusetts Office of Technical Assistance; and Janet Clark of the Massachusetts Toxics Use Reduction Institute. Other individuals who contributed to the Manual include: Cynthia Rider and Louis DeFrancis-Block of the Massachusetts Manufacturing Partnership; Evelyn Harvill of the Corporation for Business, Work, and Learning; Karen Thomas of the Massachusetts Toxics Use Reduction Institute; Rick Reibstein and Rich Bizzozzero of the Massachusetts Office of Technical Assistance; Frank Cardaropoli of the Manufacturing Partnership of Western Massachusetts; and Ned Emerson of Valuetech Engineering.

Anne Berlin Blackman of the Massachusetts Toxics Use Reduction Institute was the principal author of this report. Beverly Cadorette of the Environmental Integration Initiative and Ken Mayo, a freelance writer and editor, wrote the section of the manual on competitiveness in the metals fabrication industry.

Special thanks go to Janet Clark for her leadership, Cynthia Barakatt for the commitment, dedication, and good sense she contributed to this effort, and to Anne Berlin Blackman, for making our vision a reality. This effort would not have been possible without TURI's support, in particular the extensive resources found in TURI's Technology Transfer Center.
