(MMP) works with small and medium-size manufacturers in
Massachusetts to increase their local competitiveness.
MMP achieves this goal by developing and successfully
completing projects that increase quality, streamline
processes, strengthen employee performance, and enhance
products thereby enabling companies to work better,
faster, cheaper, and cleaner.
For many years, manufacturing in Massachusetts has been subject to tremendous pressure from structural, political, and industrial changes. The Commonwealth's manufacturing sector has been shedding employment since 1984, and since 1988, has lost over 131,000 jobs.
