Environmental sustainability is not a new concept at East Carolina University (ECU). We have been emphasizing recycling, energy conservation, green space improvement, chemical minimization and other sustainability techniques for over a decade. This report outlines projects and achievements in our ongoing efforts to improve sustainability at East Carolina University. In addition to the efforts achieved during the 1999 – 2000 year, the following activities were accomplished to support sustainability and reduce energy consumption during the fiscal year 
2000-2001.
