Environmental Sustainability Report for 2000

North Carolina state government continues to make big progress in its steps toward environmentally sustainable thought and action. This second annual report includes recently completed, ongoing, and new environmentally sustainable projects from 14 state agencies and 17 universities partnered in the environmental sustainability initiative. (1999 Plans).

Efforts highlighted in the following Year 2000 report respond to Governor Hunt's challenge to practice environmental sustainability within state government operations and businesses. This challenge has ignited innovation, education, and collaboration within state government.

After reading these plans, we trust you will see evidence of departmental, agency, and campus commitment to becoming better environmental stewards.
