Motivation

• Each American uses over 700 pounds of paper per year
• Over 1,000,000 acres of SE forests are clear-cut annually
• Chlorine bleaching detrimental to environment

Goals

• Use only non-chlorine bleached, 100% post-consumer recycled content paper
• Reduce Consumption
• Improve recycling services
• Educate campus community

Accomplishments

• Post-consumer recycled content, chlorine-free paper available on NC state term contract
• Computer labs now print double-sided by default
• Signs on photocopiers give duplexing instructions
