Initiatives in Environmental Technology Investment is published six times a year by Waste Policy Institute, a not-for-profit corporation affiliated with Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. Funding for this publication is provided by the U.S. Department of Energy's Office of Science and Technology in the Office of Environmental Management under Cooperative Agreement No. DE-FC02-96CH10849.

This newsletter is designed to aid communication and interaction between and within the Department of Energy's Office of Science and Technology and industries and other agencies concerned with technology development and exchange. Initiatives provides information about DOE programs in order to promote technology exchange and development opportunities.

Initiatives articles may be reprinted without permission, however the editors would appreciate acknowledgement and a copy of the published material.
