In full curfew, the Municipality of San Juan de Lurigancho intervened 15 clandestine establishments that functioned as nightclubs and found more than 1,500 people, in the context of the third wave of the coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19).

The commune explained that the intervened premises are located in the areas of Chimú, Gardens and Campoy. The vast majority of those intervened were intoxicated and did not wear a mask, which represents a risk to public health.
”Impunity is over for those who break the curfew and throw massive parties. We are going to be firm, these premises that operated without a license were closed and fined two UIT”, pointed out the Mayor of San Juan de Lurigancho, Álex Gonzales Castillo.
The municipality of SJL denounced that serenazgo agents and the Control, Operations and Sanctions Sub-Management were intimidated by subjects at the time they were going to intervene a ‘COVID-19 party’ in the Campoy area. Groups of attendees resisted the operation and fired shots into the air, however, they managed to be surrounded and taken to the sector police station.
