In order to make transparent and update the information on vaccination against coronavirus (COVID-19) in the country, the Ministry of Health (Minsa) has renewed the presentation of the main indicators of this process, in which it has taken into account children between 5 and 11 years of age, the new target population that began to be inoculated on January 24 of this year.
According to the latest data update, Peru now has a target population to be vaccinated of 32,781,250. Let us remember that before it was 27,946,434, however, after the incorporation of 4,236,070 girls and boys from 5 to 11 years old, as well as the population that changed age, the removal of deceased people and Peruvians living abroad, this figure changed.

The health sector explained that this update has caused the vaccination coverage ratios to decrease throughout the country, but it is only due to a statistical effect. Therefore, the coverage of people with one dose is now 80.11%, the two dose is 71.11%, and the three dose is 25.7%.
