After confirming 12 cases of the variant omicron in the country (4 yesterday and 8 this Monday), the Minister of Health, Hernando Cevallos, detailed in which districts of Metropolitan Lima reside people infected with this new variant of the coronavirus (COVID-19).
“They are in various districts such as Miraflores, Santiago de Surco, San Isidro, Chacarilla, La Molina and others”, said the head of the Minsa in statements to the press.

Recall that yesterday, the Minister of Health specified that among the first four people identified with the omicron variant are a health worker, an anthropologist who came from South Africa to Peru with her 5 and 9-year-old children. They reside in the districts of Miraflores, La Molina, Surco and Santa Anita.
NEW MEASURES AGAINST OMICRON
At another time, Minister Cevallos reported on the new restrictive measures that the Government will implement in the presence of cases of the omicron variant. Among them is the change of the curfew for Christmas and New Year, the reduction of the capacity in the establishments and the advance of the application of the third dose to people who have already completed three or more months since they received their second COVID-19 vaccine.
