So shows the National Center for Epidemiology, Prevention and Control of Diseases (CDC) of the Ministry of Health (Minsa), through graphs that reveal how the number of patients increases in various health establishments, according to the following detail:
In the Essalud hospitals, the number of patients hospitalized for COVID-19 reached 3,231 as of January 8, the highest figure since the beginning of 2022. On January 1 there were 2,618 people hospitalized.

In the case of patients hospitalized in clinics, the figure as of January 8 is 213, one of the highest since January 1, when 157 people had entered.

Meanwhile, in Hospitals of the Armed Forces are currently 21 hospitalized.

Patients who 1,113 are currently hospitalized in the Ministry of Health. On January 1, there were only 745 people hospitalized.

The CDC charts also detail how many patients with favorable, unfavorable, and stationary outcomes there are to date. As well as the occupation of people in ICU with mechanical ventilation, available beds, among others.
In the case of patients with a favorable evolution to date, there are 1,190. While with stationary evolution, 21 people are registered. Meanwhile, people with unfavorable evolution also add 21.

In addition, it is reported that 1,940 beds are in use in the Pan American Village.

COVID-19 CASES AND DECAYS
The Ministry of Health (Minsa) reported to date a total of 203,067 people died from COVID-19. With this number, the death toll from the deadly virus in Peru rose by 24. In addition, it reported that infections increased by 17,128 (8,333 in the last 24 hours), so the total number of infected people reaches 2,375,813.
