This Friday, December 17, from 11:00 in the morning, the discussion panel will be broadcast Digital connectivity and rural development in 2021 in all the social networks of El Comercio (Facebook, Twitter and Youtube).

This digital event aims to show various success stories of public and private institutions, regarding the deployment of initiatives and projects that promote adequate internet access in rural communities during this year.

Likewise, the panel will touch on topics such as the importance of public-private collaboration to bring connectivity and how the internet works as a tool for social inclusion. In addition, the experience and achievements obtained by the program will be counted School Correspondents from El Comercio thanks to the connection offered by the internet.
The digital table will have the presence of Mesías Guevara, regional governor of Cajamarca, one of the regions that has had a fairly active participation in the training of primary and secondary teachers using technological tools.
Will also attend Pedro Cortez, CEO of Telefónica del Perú (since January 2018) and economist from the University of Lima, who has a Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) from the Universidad del Pacífico and a postgraduate degree in Finance from ESAN.
In addition, the former vice minister of communications will be a panelist. Virginia Nakagawa, who has 20 years in the telecommunications sector, having held managerial positions, both in Peru and Ecuador. Nakagawa is currently providing advice on telecommunications projects in rural areas of Peru.
It is worth mentioning that this digital panel will be moderated by Juan Pablo Leon, associate editor of the National section of El Comercio, who was also in charge of the School Correspondents project.
