MTC extends the validity of the certificates until 2022 and establishes a schedule to revalidate them

The Ministry of Transport and Communications (MTC) approved and published a schedule on the extension of the validity of class A driver’s licenses (which allow driving private cars, taxis, cousters, buses, trucks) according to their expiration dates.

It’s a statement, the MTC remarked that the schedule also establishes the dates on which the licensees must revalidate them. He warned that the driver who does not renew his license on the date indicated in the schedule will not be able to use it, since the document will lose its validity and will be canceled.

Class A category I driver’s licenses (which enable the handling of private cars: sedan coupe, station wagon, etc.) that have the expiration dates indicated below are extended in their validity and must be revalidated according to the following role:

· Licenses expired from January 1 to June 30, 2020 will be valid until February 28, 2022. Therefore, they must be revalidated until that date, as they then lose validity.

Those due from July 1 to December 31, 2020 will be valid until March 31, 2022. They must be revalidated until that date.

The expired from January 1 to April 30, 2021 will be valid until April 30, 2022. They must be revalidated until that date.

Those due from May 1 to August 31, 2021 will be valid until May 31, 2022. They must be revalidated until that date.

Those due from September 1 to December 31, 2021 will be valid until June 30, 2022. They must be revalidated until that date.

Other cases

Class A driver’s licenses, categories II-a, II-b, III-a, III-b and III-c (taxi, cousters, buses, trucks) that register the expiration dates indicated below are extended in force and must be revalidated, according to the following:

Licenses expired from January 1 to December 31, 2020 will be valid until May 31, 2022. They must be revalidated until that date.
