Spider-Man No Way Home: How To Watch The New Spider-Man Movie

The premiere of “Spider-Man: No Way Home”Is getting closer. The official arrival date of the third movie of the arachnid superhero, starring Tom Holland, is scheduled for December 17 in the United States; however, some Latin American countries and the United Kingdom were included in the world premiere on December 15th.

MORE INFORMATION: Alfred Molina and the surprising reason why he is part of “Spider-Man: No Way Home”

A) Yes Spider-Man: No Way Home It has become the most anticipated movie of the year for fans of Marvel Studios stories. Proof of them is that in several countries, the tickets for the functions in the cinemas have been sold out in just a few hours of having been enabled.

On the other hand, since the release of the trailers, great expectations have been generated for this film; and several theories about the complete cast have emerged, with some suggesting that there could also be Tobey Maguire Y Andrew Garfield, the two actors who played Spider-Man in his previous films. Along these lines, and in the midst of the arachnid madness, many fans wonder how to watch the film ONLINE. Can it be seen in that format?

In principle, the Marvel movie will only be available in theaters around the world. Therefore, its premiere cannot be seen ONLINE. As for the possibility of reaching a streaming platform (Disney Plus, for example), the company has not made any official announcement about when it will reach the online streaming service. However, it is unlikely that “Spider-Man: No Way Home” be included in the Disney Plus catalog because the film is made by Sony and the company is the one who maintains the distribution rights of the character. Sony decides where and how its movies can be seen away from the cinema.

Of course, the possibility is not ruled out, as long as there is an agreement between both companies. Negotiations that could take place, given Marvel’s strategy of including in Dinsey’s service the films that he has made in recent times; as has happened previously with “Black Widow” or, more recently, with “Shang-Chi and the legend of the Ten Rings”. We will have to wait for the decision and, if confirmed, the future date.

The short answer is because in the 1990s, Mavel sold the rights to the character to Sony, when the company was going through financial problems and had to sacrifice some licenses while reformulating its comic book universe.

Among the licenses it sacrificed was the sale of the character’s cinematographic rights, not its exploitation in the comic universe. Therefore, Marvel stopped using Spider-man in the audiovisual sector, at the same time losing all royalties for the sale of merchandising.

In 2009, the Walt Disney Company bought Marvel Entertainment and negotiations were reopened. Disney managed to recover pate of the merchandising rights. And in 2016 Spider-Man began venturing into the Marvel Cinematic Universe with “Captain America: Civil War”, later “Spider-Man: Homecoming”, “Avengers: Infinity War”, “Avengers: Endgame” Y “Spider-Man: No Way Home”.

But in 2019 there was a setback and the agreement was on the verge of breaking down. However, after conversations, they signed a new contract that currently unites the two companies around Spider-Man, which includes 25% of the box office profits generated by the character’s films for Marvel Studios, while the company itself will continue to hold 100% rights to Spidey-based merchandise. Nevertheless, Sony is the one who maintains the rights to its distribution.

While the arrival of “Spider-Man: No Way Home” to any streaming platform is a big question mark, that is to say that the previous movies of the superhero can be seen online. Take note:
