Scott Lang and Hope Van Dyne’s exploration of the quantum world could give the heroes of Marvel in its Cinematographic Universe. And if we say headache, we must focus on just that.
‘Ant-Man and the Wasp‘could bring in MODOK, who would be making his MCU debut. According to sources from The Direct, this fearsome villain will have an important role in the plot, although this has not been confirmed by Marvel Studios.
Before it had been speculated that Jim Carrey would be the interpreter of this super villain, but the same source has ruled out the actor.
MIRA: They accidentally reveal the identity of the villain of ‘Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania’
This villain began as a character in Advanced Idea Mechanics or AIM, born from an experiment that went wrong. This turned George Tarleton into a mechanized organism designed just to kill or MODOK for short.
Due to his overdeveloped genius, this Marvel enemy has a huge head, with a towering intellect, capable of using psionic powers.
It is likely that the AIM has a role in the film, as the origins of the villain arise from this organization. With MODOK already starring in its own separate MCU Hulu series, it will be interesting to see how Marvel Studios differentiates its adaptation from the family man version of Patton Oswalt.
However, it has already been confirmed that the main villain of Quantumania would be Kang the Conqueror, who would be one of the evil variants of the Kang that we saw in the Loki series.
It will be interesting to see what the relationship is between these two villains, as Kang would find in MODOK a way to end their variants, something that the Kangs of each universe normally do.
