Vaccinefest against COVID-19 in Lima and Callao: today the fifteenth day of 36 uninterrupted hours begins

From today Saturday 18 to Sunday 19 December, the Ministry of Health (Minsa) will hold the fifteenth edition of the VacunaFest against COVID-19 in Metropolitan Lima and Callao. The new day will continue to immunize people of legal age and adolescents from 12 to 17 years old; in addition, the booster doses will be applied to citizens over 18 years of age.

This vaccination day will be 36 hours uninterrupted, like the previous editions; In other words, it will begin today, Saturday 18 at 7:00 am and will continue until 7:00 pm on Sunday, December 19.

Who can be vaccinated?

For over 18 years

People over 18 years of age who come to be vaccinated must bring their ID, double mask or a KN95 and optionally with a face shield. Those who attend for their second dose must carry the card received in the first vaccination.

For teens 12 to 17 years old

In the case of minors between the ages of 12 and 17, adolescents must go to be vaccinated in the company of an adult to sign the informed consent.

Third dose

Adults aged 18 and over can now go to vaccination centers and health facilities for the inoculation of the booster dose, if more than 5 months have passed since they received their first two vaccines. In the case of citizens immunized outside of Peru, they should approach vaccination centers showing their card issued abroad.

What do I do if my child did not get vaccinated on the indicated date?

In this regard, Gabriela Jiménez specified that now the parents or an adult can take the minor to any vaccination center near their home, despite the fact that it has not been inoculated on the indicated date.

“If the vaccination date was missed for adolescents between 12 and 17 years of age, who just go to any vaccination center near their home, they no longer have to check the Pongo al Hombro”Jiménez commented to the Andina agency.
